SMS integration with PRTG

Send SMS notifications through the LabsMobile platform from the PRTG Network Monitor application. Configure your PRTG application so that you can send alerts and notifications via SMS in a matter of seconds with LabsMobile.

  • A LabsMobile user account. Follow the link below to create a new account: Register.

Authentication

In the PRTG integration, authentication is performed with two parameters:

  • The username of the account to be specified in the username variable.
  • The tokenapi to be assigned in the password variable. This tokenapi can be generated from the API Settings section of your account.

Recommendation You can generate API tokens from the API Settings of the account. We recommend changing the token frequently and using different tokens for each use, connection or integration.

Installation

  1. Access your PRTG Network Monitor application with a privileged user to access the System Administration options.
  1. Navigate through the main menu to Setup > System Administration > Notification Delivery.


  1. Already in the Notification Delivery option you must go to the SMS Delivery section and enter the following settings.


  1. Special attention should be paid to the Custom URL parameter with the following value:
Parameters 
 https://api.labsmobile.com/get/send.php?username=[USERNAME]&password=[TOKEN]&msisdn=%SMSNUMBER&message=%SMSTEXT
  1. Save these settings and perform a test SMS sending by clicking the button at the bottom Test SMS Settings.
