Our WebSMS application is constantly evolving. In the latest version we’ve incorporated a number of improvements in the statistics and result reports.

 

Both in graphic design and statistics reporting, the WebSMS has improved significantly. Now there is a lot more concrete data available both on the dashboard and in the statistics and message monitoring pages. 

Improved statistics at the LabsMobile WebSMS.

The basic data that demonstrates to us how a SMS campaign is working is: 

  • Rate of opening. This the percentage of SMS messages that are confirmed by the operator. These messages have been sent to the device and the local operator has confirmed their delivery to LabsMobile. At LabsMobile we consider an acceptable rate of opening to be minimum 85%. A standard rate of opening is around 98% if your database is up-to-date. 
  • Rate of error. Percentage of messages which have generated an error and can’t be delivered. These errors are normally due to a problem with the subscription mobile number, for example if it is out of use, not topped-up or has a full inbox etc. It’s also possible that the message expires after 72 hours without being delivered correctly if the number hasn’t been activated during this period. 
  • Average time of confirmation. Time between sending the SMS message and the receipt of confirmation. Normally this is just a few seconds but it also depends on the availability of the recipient’s device. 
  • Average processing time. The average processing time is the seconds taken for the LabsMobile platform to send the SMS message. The process consists of the reception, field validation, management of the sending of the message and the transmission of the SMS over the GSM network, and specifically to the local operator who will then deliver the message to the device. 

This data, together with the improved graphics on our panel, detail not only the status of each message but the success of the campaign.
